News is a public good. But it's not reaching everyone. We work to make news accessible to people who face barriers because of disabilities, alternative communication methods, different ways of accessing the internet, or low literacy levels.
We also work to open the journalism industry to reporters who find themselves left out because of disability, chronic illness, military service injuries, or caregiving responsibilities.
OAJ continues to raise funds to support our projects and expand accessibility in the field of journalism and in news for the audiences it serves.
